Did we just include the same cage twice?

Despite the apparent feelings of déjà vu, we’re going to have answer, “no, this is a new cage.”

It is, however, eerily similar to the Ferret Nation.

This cage is remarkably similar to one produced by MidWest, but it’s significantly cheaper.

OK, you’ll have to sacrifice a bit of build quality and a few potential accessories, but it’s still one of the best ferret cages around, and it’ll definitely help you save a few bucks.

Just don’t forget to cover up the wire floors with a plastic platform or loads of bedding, as the Feisty Ferret Cage has wire floors that aren’t the best for your ferret’s feet.

N.B. Prevue Hendryx also manufactures a cheaper, one-tier version of this cage — the Prevue Frisky Ferret Cage  — so have a look if you live in a small apartment or usually let your ferrets roam free.

This cage is remarkably similar to one produced by MidWest, but it’s significantly cheaper.

But hold it… you shouldn’t purchase ferret cages based on looks and branding alone.

And while this is a solid habitat that gives your ferret plenty of space, you should be aware that it has some serious limits — primarily wire flooring and an expensive price tag.

We only really recommend the Marshall Ferret Mansion to ferret owners looking for ferret cages that have been designed in such a way to allow them to fold flat for easy storage.

If that’s your priority, then go ahead and buy this enclosure. If not, you’re better off with any one of the six ferret cages we’ve reviewed above.

Costing you barely more than $100, it’s most definitely a sweet deal.

But is it worth the savings?

It depends.

If you’re on the lookout for a smallish cage for baby ferrets or for vacationing purposes, this is a great choice. The Kaytee My First Home is colorful, safe, and easy to clean.

However, if it’s a permanent home for adult ferrets you’re after, you’re better off forgetting about this cage — it’s simply too small and dinky to provide your fur babies with the habitat they need to thrive.
